If you don’t the grading in the UK is weird! I just got the marks back on a lab test I had to take in my Web Development class and the marks for my Portfolio Exercises and I did well :) My professor was saying how he tought in the states and many students were devistaed when they got a 70% and I told him it’s barley passing! Here in the UK that’s one of the top marks, so a 70% is actually doing very well.
Where you hear your flat mate shouting in the kitchen in a language you don’t understand, but you really need to go to the kitchen and make a sandwich? Well I’m having on of those moments. Hurray!!!!!!
After traveling here to the UK and have been living here for a little over a month I decided I have a goal to travel to every continent in the the world! Except Antarctica cause I don’t want to go there it’s too could!
So that means
North AmericaBut still need to go to Canada, Mexico, and…
I got called sir for the third time since I’ve arrived in the UK! Yes I have short hair, but I don’t sound or dress like a man. It happen today when I was mailing some packages at the post office. The man who helped me called me sir twice even after he had hear my voice. I was wearing fur boots, skinny jeans, and my thick winter coat. I don’t dress like the British girls who I’d have to say dress pretentious. Their always dressed up no matter what their doing. I feel like now I have to start looking more feminine and wear dresses and make up every day in order for people to stop calling me sir!
I don’t know, maybe I’m not hearing them correctly maybe they aren’t calling me sir. Is there something I’m missing in the culture? Well I’m willing to listen to any comments, so let me know if why you think I would be called sir? Maybe it I really do look like a guy :(
